Tommy Robredo is through to the final four at the Movistar Open, by virtue of his routine win over Maximo Gonzalez Friday night. Fabio Fognini also advanced, having rallied to upset defending champion Thomaz Bellucci.

Sixth seed Tommy Robredo made quick work of opponent Maximo Gonzalez on Friday, as he came through the quarterfinal in just 68 minutes. The 28-year-old Spaniard broke serve at 4-3 in the opening set, then followed with a 4-0 advantage in set two. Robredo completed the evening with five aces and 100% of break points against him saved.
He will square off against Fabio Fognini for a place in the championship match.

Seventh seed Fabio Fognini reached the semifinal, after rallying to oust defending champion Thomaz Bellucci Friday afternoon. The 23-year-old Italian weathered several momentum shifts, including the loss of a 4-0 lead in the deciding set.
Bellucci trailed by a double break in the third, but fought back to 4-4. Fognini, who dropped five consecutive games to 4-5, settled to take a 3-0 edge in the tie-break. The seventh seed held six match points at 6-0, the closed the match at the two-hour and 20-minute mark.
