World No. 2 Roger Federer advanced to the semifinals in Doha after an impressive display in the quarters against Viktor Troicki.
Roger Federer def. Viktor Toicki 6-2, 6-2
In his best match of the year to date, Roger Federer downed Serbia’s Viktor Troicki in just a little over an hour. Though Federer still had more unforced errors than winners (18 winners to 23 unforced errors), he was not nearly as flat-footed as he had been in the second round against Marco Chiudinelli.
Federer snagged the match on his third match point chance. Troicki gave the Swiss champion far too many looks at his second serve. He allowed Federer to dig in on many of his service games; the Serb faced down a whopping 16 break points in the short match, surrendering a pair in each set.
Federer moves onto the semifinals where he will take on Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Have not had a chance to see any of the FEDs' tennis lately, but I love what I am hearing. He is WINNING! :) Convincingly against Toicki. Tsonga next. C'MON!!!

Scoreline looks impressive for Fed but if analyse a bit deeper doesn't actually sound very good at all. More errors than winners and converted 4 (?) out of 16 break points. The last stat tells me that he creates lots of opportunities but has difficulty converting them. That just isn't going to cut it when he meets Nadal.

Lol..........Cable......thats true..........but Fed may be MUCH more determined to cement these bp opportunities againt Rafa than he was against Troicki. People respond differently depending on who they play. Fed gives Rafa a hard time when he plays him!!!!! However, i would lik eto believe what you say its true becos its all good for Rafa!!!!
VAMOS!!!
