    Bangkok - Nieminen, Sela advance Jarkko Nieminen and Dudi Sela made the second round at the PTT Thailand Open on Tuesday, after taking out respective opponents Danai Udomchoke and Konstantin Kravchuk. Both players advanced in straight sets.

    Jarkko Nieminen def. (WC) Danai Udomchoke 6-3, 6-2

    Jarkko Nieminen came through his opening round with wildcard opponent Danai Udomchoke in straight sets Monday afternoon. The 29-year-old held nine of 9 service games en route to a 6-3, 6-2 victory in 68 minutes. The Finn, ranked world No. 60, improved his season record to 18-22.

    Nieminen will face off against seventh seed Viktor Troicki for a place in the quarterfinal. The 2009 Bangkok finalist defeated Marco Chiudinelli in the first round, 6-3, 6-1.

    Dudi Sela def. (Q) Konstantin Kravchuk 6-3, 6-4

    Dudi Sela made a successful start to his 2010 Bangkok campaign, having dismissed qualifier Konstantin Kravchuk in straight sets. The 25-year-old secured four of 9 break chances through one hour and 46 minutes of play. The world No. 85, who won his first match at the PTT Thailand Open, extended his 2010 mark to 16-19.

    Sela is scheduled to meet third seed Jurgen Melzer in the round of 16.
