Like any good illusionist, Roger Federer won't reveal his methods.
And the speculation is building as to exactly what - if any - "magic" powers the racket master used in the viral "Wilhelm Tell" video circulated on the internet by one of his sponsors.
In the clip, Federer, wearing a jacket and slacks, calmly fires an ball which knocks a soft-drink can off the head of a willing volunteer inside a photo studio, apparently during a shoot. The video is out only weeks after the August 1 Swiss national day, in which the legend of Tell often figures.
Federer's superhuman accuracy has many guessing that the stunt was edited to achieve perfection, but the world No. 2 is cagily not actually revealing anything: "A magician doesn't tell how his tricks work, so..."
But Federer also would not deny that the stunt might have been staged. "There's a lot of debate at the moment, but you know how it is with magicians.
"It was shot in one piece and it ... the guy took a chance. It worked out, so I'm happy. I had to do it before so I knew I could do it, otherwise it was risky for him, right?
Asked point-blank if it was real, Federer demurred: "Not saying that...." said to laughter.
Sponsor Gillette is also playing along: "Roger's skill and ability is incredible... The video was filmed in one unbroken take - We'll leave the 'real or fake' debate up to the viewers."

I can understand people wanting it to be real. After all,we crave magic in our lives. But what surprises me is that many actually believe the video is real! No wonder P.T. Barnum said "There's a sucker born every minute".Though ,more accurately he should have said"....every second"

The trick itself it not that difficult to do. I mean, almost any proffessional tennis player could do that... but they also can FAIL.
That's why I think that video si fake.
