Sixth seed Nikolay Davydenko booked a round of 16 berth with a three-set success against wild card Robby Ginepri Wednesday afternoon. The 29-year-old converted four of 9 break points en route to a 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-2 win in two hours and 14 minutes. The Russian completed the day with 7 aces and 14 of 14 service games held.
Davydenko will face David Ferrer for a place in the quarterfinal.

Tenth seed David Ferrer made the round of 16, following his straight-set victory over Sam Querrey early Wednesday. The Spaniard saved five of 5 break point chances through one hour and 28 minutes of play. The American endured a difficult serving day, unable to secure more than 36% of his second-serve points.
