The long-awaited news is out after Juan Martin Del Potro revealed he's finally back on the practise court after playing his last match in January.
The reigning US Open champion - his title defence is uncertain, depending on the state of his surgically repaired wrist - tweeted the news after weeks of speculation as to the start of his gradual return to form.
The Argentine who still stands seventh in the world, posted some pictures as well by way of proof. He admitted it feels great to get back on court but made absolutely no promises as to any return date.
US Open officials have been waging their own persuasion campaign with hopes their holder will defend his title in New York from August 30. But Del Potro's only firm date so far is the Bangkok event from late September, with even next month's key Davis Cup semi-final in France not a sure bet.
