Olivier Rochus reached his second consecutive semifinal in Newport on Thursday, following his straight-set victory over qualifier Raven Klaasen. The fourth seed is joined by Brian Dabul, a winner against Dustin Brown.

Fourth seed Olivier Rochus made the final four in Newport after taking out qualifier Raven Klaasen in straight sets. The Belgian secured four of 7 break points en route to a 6-1, 6-3 quarterfinal-round victory in one hour. The 29-year-old, who successfully defended his 2009 Newport points, improved his season record to 11-16.
Rochus is scheduled to face Brian Dabul for a berth in the final.

Brian Dabul advanced to his first ATP World Tour semifinal with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Dustin Brown on Thursday. The 26-year-old Argentine struck 7 aces and held 10 of 10 service games to seal the quarterfinal victory in 68 minutes. The World No. 105 extended his 2010 mark to 5-1 at Tour level.
