    Tsonga and Querrey tested, advance to third round Both Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Sam Querrey survived tough tests during their second-round matches at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday. The fellow seeds held on to defeat respective opponents Alexandr Dolgopolov and Ivan Dodig.

    (10) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga def. Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-4, 6-4, 6-7(5), 5-7, 10-8

    After surrendering a two-sets-to-love lead, tenth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga fought through to a five-set win in three hours and 55 minutes. The 25-year-old Frenchman struck 33 aces, 39 winners and converted three of 15 break points, one of which came during a critical stage of the deciding set.

    Tsonga will take on qualifier Tobias Kamke for a place in the round of 16. The German rallied to dismiss second-round opponent Andreas Seppi in four sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4.

    (18) Sam Querrey def. (Q) Ivan Dodig 6-2, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(10)

    Queen’s Club champion Sam Querrey earned his seventh straight grass-court match, as he outlasted qualifier Ivan Dodig in the second round. The 18th-seeded American, who crushed 28 aces during the contest, held all but one service game through two hours and 34 minutes of play.

    Querrey is scheduled to face veteran Xavier Malisse in the third round. The Belgian came back from a set deficit to take out Julian Reister in round two, 6-7(7), 6-4, 6-1, 6-4.
