Andy Murray has shrugged off the knee tape he used during his first-round win at Queen's club, saying the strapping is merely a precaution.
The Scot defending champion beat Spain's Ivan Navarro in straight sets to begin his Wimbledon grass-court build-up. Murray has suffered since birth from a split kneecap which he has long admitted can occasionally cause him some pain.
"The knee is fine, it's a precaution," said the Scot. "I ice my knee after every single match I play and after every single practice. Nothing different."
The world No. 4 secured his victory against a surprise serve-and-volleyer - a style made all the more unusual coming from a Spaniard: "It's nice to see someone serve and volley. I haven't played a serve and volleyer this year. This is the first time, so it was tricky and he did it very well," said Murray.
