Marin Cilic cruised into the third round of the Sony Ericsson Open, following his 60-minute victory over Stephane Robert. He is joined by fellow seeds Fernando Verdasco and Marcos Baghdatis, both winners in straight sets.

Seventh seed Marin Cilic needed just one hour to dismiss second-round opponent Stephane Robert, 6-3, 6-1 late Saturday. After taking the opening set, the Croat built a 5-0 advantage in the second. Cilic, who did not face a break point in 60 minutes, held Robert to a mere 13 points on the return.
The 21-year-old is scheduled to meet 25th seed Marcos Baghdatis for a spot in the round of 16.
(10) Fernando Verdasco def. Dudi Sela 6-1, 6-2
Fernando Verdsaco had little trouble dismissing Dudi Sela early Saturday afternoon, easing to a 6-1, 6-2 win in just 65 minutes. The 10th-seeded Spaniard held eight of 8 service games without facing a break point. Verdasco captured all but two points on his first serve, finishing the day at 92% with 24 of 26.
Verdasco improved his season record to 12-4 and will face 23rd seed Jurgen Melzer in the next round. Melzer won his second-round clash against Alejandro Falla in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
(25) Marcos Baghdatis def. Juan Ignacio Chela 6-2, 6-4
Marcos Baghdatis leveled the series with Juan Ignacio Chela on Saturday, after downing the veteran Argentine in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. The Cypriot secured four of 8 break points, losing serve only once during the 83-minute encounter. Baghdatis took 18 of 22 points on the first-serve and 19 of 29 on the second.
