Three-time Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick will again tune up for the Grand Slam at the Queen's club event in June with hopes of lifting a fifth title on the west London grass.
The world No. 8 had to retire at 4-4 injured in his 2009 Queen's semi-final to compatriot and good friend James Blake and will be back for more when the event begins June 7, one after the Roland Garros final.
Other familiar names are also returning, with 2008 Wimbledon winner Rafael Nadal and US Open holder Juan Del Potro also entered.
Roddick is keen to finally nose into a Wimbledon title after his 2009 close call over five sets in the final against grass lord Roger Federer.
"I love the whole month in London,” said Roddick, last weekend's Indian Wells finalist and winner of a pacesetter 20 matches this season on the ATP.
“Over the years I’ve had a lot of success at Queen’s club and I still say it’s the best grass court in the world. It plays perfectly and is a great way to prepare for Wimbledon.
"My 2009 grass court season went well. It was disappointing to hurt my ankle in the semi-finals at Queen’s and have to pull out, but I was playing well and I took that into Wimbledon.
"Wimbledon was a very good event for me. I would have loved to have changed the last five minutes of it, but I look forward to another opportunity.”
