Nikolay Davydenko is due to be in plaster for a month with a lingering wrist problem which has finally been diagnosed as a break.
The Russian fell on his left wrist during a February 13 semi-final in Rotterdam and has struggled even since, missing the Davis Cup tie this month.
The ATP said that Davydenko will be in a cast for a month. "He has a fracture in his left wrist and he will be in a splint for the next four weeks." He won a round in Indian Wells before going for a scan which showed the break.
Rehab could last an additional two months, bringing up the real possibility that the former Roland Garros semi-finalist could miss the clay season.
Davydenko's misfortune is unlikely to delight new racket and clothing sponsor Dunlop, who finally came aboard to give the No. 6 a ride after years of no equipment contract for the most anonymous member of the elite.
A year ago, the 28-year-old missed several months with foot and ankle injuries, returning to the court at Monte Carlo and winning five titles in 2009. He began 2010 with a trophy at Doha in January.

Hmmmm...no comments...
Isn't it just little peculiar... Injury by itself is not big news ( unless it is Roge or Rafa )... but guy was playing and wining some matches with broken bone. So much about richyGulbyRich...
At least it gives him and his sportsmanship completely new dimension...or maybe I just like russian...
