Rafael Nadal is eager to return to the pre-Wimbledon Queen's club event after missing last year's event due to injury.
The Spaniard, who is making a return to tennis from knee problems after quitting an Australian Open quarterfinal six weeks ago against Andy Murray, is competing this week at the Indian Wells Masters.
Nadal is keen to get back on grass in west London after injury prevented him from trying to back up his 2008 Queen's Club and Wimbledon crowns last summer.
"This year there is even more motivation because I could not defend my titles last year," Nadal said in a statement. No one was more disappointed than me that I couldn't play because I love those tournaments."
The six-time Grand Slam winner could be challenged in the field by Argentina's US Open winner Juan Martin Del Potro, who has also confirmed his presence.

I'll try and get tickets this time. I've seen Rafa live at Wimbledon and the O2, and there is nothing like it.
Vamos Rafa! Show them this year what they've been missing without you at 100%. You are the only player ever to have won RG, Queens and Wimbledon in a row, show them that you can do it again. You are the most awesome watchable player ever.
Vamos!
