I proved you wrong Ricky, he won in an hour!!!! What do you think of his chances against mayer

TennisFanE , 2/25/10 10:08 PM

you gotta be kidding hahahahaha!!!! ask someone who got a shot at the right answer old sport.

spadea , 2/26/10 12:33 AM

TennisFanE - they just played 2 weeks ago, so your guess is as good as mine.

obviously if i had to put money on it i would back L. Mayer.

RickyDimon , 2/26/10 2:07 AM

spadea are you new here or what?? Most of us here know that Ricky's predictions are never a sure bet ... and often it is those that are his most heartfelt that are furthest off the mark ... just one of the reasons we keep coming back.

excuse mw spadea, i know ricky dimon just enough to know he never picks ernests gulbis. when he does it's certain disappointment and bad luck, a negative coincidence at any rate.

Plus gulbis is just to unpredictable. he was playing w/ an injured knee in memphis.
i did not see the match today. but the results suggest that the knee is fine or gaba was lousy. stats kinda look like, i dunno, a bit of both. ernie didn't fire off the aces he did in memphis.
Leo Mayer - have you watched him? i like the lefty argentine but if ernie is healthy, focused and seriously wants payback or is in any way motivated enough he can beat mayer. he can beat anyone left in del ray. dr. ivo v gulbis would be fun to seel

leonardo in 3. no expectations at all, is how i have to be about a gulbis match.

but GO GULBIS, c-mon ERNESTS!!!

Leonardo Mayer is a big-serving righty.

The lefty Argentine is Horacio Zeballos.

i got more knowledge of rick than all posters put together. he slated erno left and right, then just cuz erno wins again rick's a fan. i know of two erno forums want some apolgizing words from him. yeah, and bet on anybody but leo oscar mayer wiener. big loser that mug.

spadea , 2/26/10 5:02 AM

ah so, i had it confused. too many young argentine talents.

leo can serve but... not much else yet? i saw him once in valencia last year.

speaking of argentines, swank just about knocked out forehando tonight. fun match.

GO GULBIS!! YES YOU CAN!

zoey234 , 2/26/10 5:04 AM

LOL! spadea you make me laugh! ty.

"leo oscar mayer" ha-ha-ha

do tell the forums, if you will, spadea, please. i just like to cheer ernests on, tho i still can't quite justify picking him or counting on him. i lurrrrrrrve the gulbinator!

zoey234 , 2/26/10 5:10 AM

Anything beyond R1 and R2 is good news to Gulbis fans, no.

northcay , 2/26/10 5:10 AM

happy and satisfied about a r2 win, northcay. completely. all else is a nice surprise after a round 1 win.

nothing more to be hoped. not a thin sliver allowed of hope after last year.

your fans love you though ernests! c'mon!
