No. 7 seed Juan Monaco needed 3 sets and 2 ½ hours to defeat Alberto Martin in the opening round of the Abierto Mexicano in Acapulco.
Argentina’s Juan Monaco had a difficult start to the Acapulco tournament. The Argentine had a terrible day on serve. He did not get a single ace in the match, which by itself is not a surprising statistic. Clay, after all, is not conducive to big serving. But Monaco did not just fail to hit aces, he also donated 7 double faults to Alberto Martin’s cause.
The real surprise in the match lies in the disparity of their rankings. Monaco is a clay-courter, ranked No. 30 in the world and he came into Acapulco off a final and semifinal, both clay events. Conversely, Spain’s Martin sits at No. 131 and he was defeated in qualifying in his last two events.
Had Monaco not been solid on break points, the Argentine could have suffered a first-round upset. Martin earned 8 break points for the match, the same number Monaco had. The difference in the match was that the Argentine converted 4, and Martin managed just 1 service break.
Monaco will take on countryman Juan Ignacio Chela in the second round.

What is needed for his conscience is to be patient, and be courageable to face his later chances as a tennis pro. Not to be too over-confident, just be very very satisfied in disciplinary action movements. Expecting the same for each individuals. The rolling stone!!!
