Andy Murray admits that his recovery from an Australian Open finals thrashing three weeks ago from Roger Federer still weighs on his game.
But he hopes the situation is not as weak as the battery on his newly purchased (used) Ferrari, which went flat in its London garage during the ongoing British snowstorm winter.
The Scot said that he's needed every minute of his down time to try prepare mentally and physically for his role as third seed at the Barclays Championships in Dubai.
"I'm not thinking about winning the tournament. If I get to the semi-finals it might be a bit different. I've not trained or practised much since Australia.
"I don't know how I'm gonna shape up, how well I'm gonna play. I just want to try and play well.
"I took ten days off and didn't train, didn't go to the gym," said the 22-year-old. "The body and mind were both a bit sore and tired after a long five weeks in Australia. I just relaxed.
"I still feel a little bit tired. I need to try and stay fresh," he said before his first test against Russian qualifier Igor Kunitsyn.

Hey Muzz, Dude! You're supposed to take the battery out of the car if you're going to be storing it for long periods of time during the winter, so it doesn't die on you. Sheesh, these nouveau riche ...

Not inspiring, muzz:( This is the start of the seaon, not the tail end of it. Physically recovering? You had had won match that went beyond 3 sets and played very little before the Open and nothing since. If you need 10 days off now, what will it be like at the deep end.
The problem has to be psychological. The way he seemed to bottle it in Oz when the third set was there for the taking on more than one occasion must be preying on his mind, but surely the answer is not sitting back and thinking about it.
And he should be aiming to win the thing. No federer. And djoker, despite his ranking (largely because he's played 5 more torunaments than muzz), hardly in inspiring form. This isn't even a Maters.
Come on muzz, get positive! Get up and at 'em, just like you did in ozz efevry time except the final.
