Davis Cup QF- Czech Republic leads Argentina 2-1 Tomas Berdych aims to clinch the tie for the Czech Republic on Sunday as he faces Juan Martin Del Potro in singles competition. The Czech Republic heads into Day 3 leading 2-1.

Tomas Berdych vs. Juan Martin Del Potro

Berdych and Del Potro meet for the third time on Sunday, set for the final day of Davis Cup quarterfinals action. The players are 1-1 lifetime against each other heading into their singles rubber. The 23-year-old Czech captured a finals win over the 20-year-old-Argentine at the 2008 tournament in Tokyo. Del Potro evened the head-to-head series at the 2009 Masters Series Madrid when Berdych was forced to retire with injury.

Home nation Czech Republic marches into the first singles rubber of the day holding a critical 2-1 advantage. Berdych earned the first point of the tie Friday afternoon, prevailing in his match against Juan Monaco, 6-4, 2-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. Del Potro leveled the tie, collecting a point for Argentina after downing Ivo Minar in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-3. Berdych helped the host nation regain the lead, teaming with Radek Stepanek in doubles on Saturday to defeat Leonardo Mayer and Jose Acasuso.

Ivo Minar vs. Juan Monaco (if necessary)

Ivo Minar leads Juan Monaco 1-0 in the head-to-head series, having pocketed a victory at the 2005 Masters Series Miami in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Should the tie reach a deciding fifth rubber, both Minar and Monaco will look to secure their first win of the competition.

growing up in the South Pacific until 10yrs old i used to travel to and fro the island i was born in and our capital Upolu to visit with the grandparents. it seems a very huge step i would not attempt again as i cannot swim. my parents also built a beautiful house in our capital Apia they still own today.
in year 7 at 13, i received class prize for our prize giving as well as winning the finals for 100m hurdles. but it felt a fake moment as things were not going so well at home. like a motor car without a motor. tomas will need a momentum so strong in order to succeed in means he might need to wear the right sponsored gear, example i think singlets would benefit him more rather than v-necks. alot of the boys wear shirts that look far too big on them so they are forever trying to get it right.... tomas should be happier so to face tough challenges in life....i had to re-write this as i originally logged four comments under this heading, and it states that, but me and the owner of the internet shop cannot read them as they are being cut out. but why state they are there?..
