Six months after teenaged Australian Bernard Tomic quit a junior match in a fit of anger over linecalling, another young Aussie has come up for discipline.
A racial insult hurled at a South African player Raven Klaasen in the heat of a match at Eastbourne the week before Wimbledon will cost former Australian Open junior champion Brydan Klein a six-month ban.
In addition, the 19-year-old will pay fines totalling nearly $20,000 and is required to take a racial sensitivity course during his time away from the game.
"I sincerely regret my error in judgment in using the language I did and I am deeply sorry for the offence caused", Klein said in a statement to national media. "I'm accepting the ATP's ruling and am now looking to put the whole incident behind me".
The ban, which begins July 20, will force No. 186 Klein from the North American summer hardcourt season. In addition his funding grants from Australian sport authorities have been cut off.

I hope some of their cricketers have not taken up to tennis coaching nowadays!

That sounds bogus. What exactly did he even say? All this PC stuff is over-done. What happened to freedom of speech and "sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never harm me"? People need to develop thicker skin.
