It's your turn to grab a racquet and play with and against the sport's greatest legends and current stars. With stunning realism too, thanks to EA Sports and Nintendo Wii.
EA Sports is releasing yet another sports-based video game as Grand Slam Tennis is being shipped to retailers next month. This game, available first for the Nintendo Wii, is said to offer the deepest and most authentic tennis experience ever.
"On the Wii, EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis brings the authentic motion and excitement of championship tennis to life for fans of all ages and skill levels," said Peter Moore, president at EA sports.
John McEnroe, Roger Federer and Serena Williams are featured on the cover (US Version) and other players in the line-up include legends like Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Stefan Edberg and Boris Becker. Some of today’s stars are also on the roster, of course – Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick to name a few.
“It’s great that EA Sports has embraced tennis into its family of games. I think it’s a solid sign the sport is thriving and I hope it will continue to generate more interest and excitement in tennis," said John McEnroe who is making his video-game debut.
If you can swing a racquet, you can pick up the wireless controller and start playing. Take your customized created player on a quest to win the four slams. Other features include a variety of shot types, play online, and “Wii MotionPlus,” which gives the player extra control and precision.
If you haven’t seen them already, go check out the screenshots and videos at the official EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis website.

Emmm, I think that the 'good' tennis games would actually be Top Spin 2 & 3.

Top Spin!? TOP SPIN!?! He's MAD I tell you, MAD!!! You're only SAYING that because you HATE Nadal like a murdering TYPE!!! You are IGNORANT buddy, go crawl BACK in your HOLE!!
Seriously, though, a tennis game that makes you let go of the button in order to hit the ball? Pretty counter-intuitive wouldn't you say? But eh, different strokes and all that....
