Argentina’s David Nalbandian crashed out of Estoril in the opening round to Chile’s Paul Capdeville.
Paul Capdeville scored one of the biggest upsets of his career with his straight set victory over No. 19 David Nalbandian. The Chilean is ranked 91 in the world and he spends much of his year playing on the Challenger tour. Monday’s win for Capdeville was likely helped along by a lingering hip injury that forced Nalbandian to withdraw before his quarterfinal match against Rafael Nadal in Barcelona. He also pulled out of Rome because of the injury.
Nalbandian’s movement was limited from the first point of the match. Capdeville managed to break Nalbandian 3 times in the opening set as the Argentine struggled to keep the ball in play. Despite his struggles, Nalbandian broke Capdeville once in the set.
The second set was equally disappointing for Nalbandian. He made no in-roads on Capdeville’s serve, and was broken twice to seal his early exit from the tournament. Capdeville will play Maximo Gonzalez in the second round.

Well like the article says his movement is hampered by an injury so wouldn't just chalk it up to an off day. But if he is injured why has he entered Estoril at all?
