James Blake looks to be keeping his money out of the current market turbulence as millionaire tennis players start learning the facts of economic life in the current world crisis.
"All we can do is go out and play our best tennis and maybe be a little safer in the marketplace - maybe not invest quite as much", he said at the Miami Masters. "I don't know what's going to happen".
"But I think we do consider it, we think about it", he said of his fellow pros on the rich-list world circuit. "It's one of those things that's out of our control".
Blake said that players should just stick to the tennis side of life to plow through the global economic slowdown. "We can go out and play good tennis and hope the fans are there and hope the sponsors are there to support the tennis".
"We're going to do our best to make sure we're putting out our best product, once we do that, you know, the rest of it is out of our control. So we can't worry too much about it".
