I somehow knew it. Really :)). And then, I saw it today on another tennis forum.
Anyhow, those are great news and despite me not rooting for Rog, I congratulate them from the bottom of my heart.
Kids are the best thing in life. Suddenly, those GSs won't look so important anymore.

Feels a little unreal. Isn't Federer too young to be a father. He's only 27. Now is the time to work on tennis --not to start a family!

I don't know what religion Fed is but people get children before marriage all the time. David Beckham got Brooklyn b4 he married Posh. And athletes marry young and start a family early because they can afford to.

memi speak for urself. my parents were 2gether 20 yrs and never married. tehy had 2 kids. and for the record, it was my mum who turned my dad down. she has bin with her partner now for 9 yrs and again she wont marry him. some people just dont believe in it.

Quite frankly I'm still in disbelief.It was so unexpected.But I'm soo happy for them.
What a roller coaster ride this year and the last one has been!( I would never sit on a roller coaster in real life Lol) This whole journey as a fan right from when I saw Roger in Wimbledon 03 final till today, has been , as a tennis fan, the most fantastic journey for me.And I thank Roger for all these moments he's given us fans.

It's been very surprising for me actually! Congrats to them but I've been wondering if that would affect Roger's tennis.Maybe they already knew it for a while as they expect it in the summer,so it must have been four or five months!!

I wish for health and happiness to Fed and Mirka on the upcoming birth.

But give me a break! The way people are acting make you think that no one in tennis history has had a life-changing event happen during their career. As a professional athlete, Fed SHOULD know how to handle this alongside his career. He isn't paid millions just to have one event in his life like a new baby affect his career. well,so much news from fed this week,,,my goodness...a baby....wow!..i am really happy for them....i wonder was it planned?.....in a way i am kind of sad a little because i know that a baby takes a lot of attention and focus and how can he focus on both....i mean it take a lot to handle rafa...then to raise a child....but ,i do wish that they have a healthy baby........one thing for sure i know....if that was rafa's news today i would not be a happy camper.
i hope that fed and rafa will continue to be rivals for a long time....makes for good tennis........wow ....a baby....why now a wonder? still makes me kind of sad in a way.

Congrats to Roger & Mirka - wonderful news! I hope they can enjoy it without all the needless speculation about whether they are married or not & how it will affect Federer?s career. The two of them are bringing a child into this world, and while almost anyone can do it, it?s still one of the most beautiful things in this life.
