  • Hewitt feels his hip again but plans to try for Indian Wells

    3/10/09 8:37 AM | Johan Lindahl
Hewitt feels his hip again but plans to try for Indian Wells Lleyton Hewitt's injury dramas look like they are continuing after the Australian felt problems with his hip during Davis Cup play last weekend.

The former No. 1 was upset in Bangkok in reverse singles by world No.155 Danai Udomchoke before Chris Guccione pulled out the tie 3-2.

But Hewitt is worried about the hip which he had operated on only last summer. He made his return to tennis in January and has played a full schedule since.

"My hip was playing up a little bit today from the third set which didn't make things easy, (but) I am still going to try and play Indian Wells next week," said former No. 1 Hewitt.

"For me it is just a matter of strengthening the hip up as well, after the surgery it will take six-to-12 months to get back to full strength."
