Andy Murray has voed there will be no more books during the rest of his playing career after his ill-fated autobiography published at age 21 last season.
"Hitting Back" was released in 2008 to lukewarm response, which led Murray to reconsider his decision to release the ghost-written effort. "Sometimes when you're young, you make some bad decisions - that wasn't one of my better ones. I wish I hadn't done it".
"As you get older, you learn that money is not the most important thing. I like to make decisions based on what's best for my tennis, best for my career, best for me and the people that are around me".

Interesting, I wonder what brought this topic up? Why is he regretting his autobiography at this particular time? It just seems out of place between the Davis Cup and Indian Wells hoopla.
His quote says a lot. It's almost eerily mature and thoughtful. It also reminds us how athletes can be pushed or manipulated into doing certain things that they might not have wanted to do. Luckily for Andy, it was just a case of writing an autobiography. I haven't read it, so I'm not sure how telling the autobiography is. But maybe he's regretting having that piece of him floating around out there. Particularly the bit where he talks about the shootings at his and his brother Jamie's school when they were kids. I don't know. I just don't think that the idea his book didn't make it on the Top 10 list (or Top 100 for that matter) is what's on his mind.
In any case, most definitely a wise decision Andy.
