Andy Murray hopes that a slight recurrence of his existing ankle injury won't halt his progress at the Barclays Championships in his second-round contest in Dubai.
The Scot second seed re-injured the joint during his opening win over Ukrainian Sergiy Stakovsky, a preview of next week's Davis Cup tie.
It was a battle of bad ankles all around, as the No. 75 Ukrainian challenger took a heavy taping on his right ankle late in the opening set and later quit trailing 3-5 in the final set due to his injury.
Murray admitted that even in victory he was not at 100 percent. "It felt OK in practice but I think I may have hurt it during the match.
"I've used an ankle strap and a brace, which prevents you from rolling your ankle. It's really, really tight, and you don't have that much movement there. It's tough to move it around at all."

TBH If Muzz's ankle yesterday was the result of a week's rest I don't see how he's going to make it through the week.
