  • Melbourne's Scud does his training in the disco

    1/27/09 10:57 AM | Johan Lindahl
Melbourne's Scud does his training in the disco Mark Philippoussis has been engaged in a unique training regime for the Legends event at the Australian Open.

Instead of early nights and training on the practice court, the 32-year-old much prefers to bust a move on the dance floor at various Melbourne discos.

The two-time Grand Slam finalist whose ATP career faded away due to repeated knee injuries, has been testing the water during the second-week of the Australian Open.

He won an opening doubles match with Frenchman Henri Leconte, the day after leaving a Melbourne dance spot into the week hours with a new girlfriend on his arm.

A former girlfriend of 11 months with whom the serial Lothario split just weeks ago is said by the Melbourne tabloid press to be devastated and losing weight in the wake of the breakup.
