  • No choice for Agassi as friend and wife tangle in court

No choice for Agassi as friend and wife tangle in court Andre Agassi's business life has become even more complicated after his former manager filed suit against his wife Steffi Graf over what is claimed to be unpaid fees and commissions on a deal gone sour.

Only a few months after Agassi and childhood friend Perry Rogers went their separate ways after decades together, ex-ATP board member Rogers is now going after Graf in a Las Vegas court.

Local media report that Rogers is suing over breach of contract and is seeking a minimum of $50,000 plus interest and legal fees after Rogers said he acted as Graf's manager and agent for the past six years.

"I am both saddened and disappointed to learn that Perry has filed a lawsuit, and sadder still that he has sued my wife, Stefanie," Agassi said in a statement. "I remain hopeful that we will be able to resolve our business issues with minimal damage to our families and mutual friends."

Legal papers reveal that Graf had granted Rogers a 15 percent partnership interest in all of her business ventures, dependent on a certain investment account attaining a value of $20 million. That occurred in January, 2007, which caused Graf to start the specified payments. But they were stopped ten months later, the papers allege.

Agassi and Graf have been feeling the pain of the American credit crunch after another of their high-profile real estate ventures in Montana ski country went bust earlier.
