Andy Murray is keen to build upon his 2008 success and can barely wait for the off-season to be over after reaching the semifinals of the Masters Cup.
"I hope I can build on it next year," said the 21-year-old ranked fourth in the world. "I'll take a little bit of time off now, and then work as hard as possible to get ready for the beginning of next season”.
"I want to try and put on a little bit more weight, try and get physically stronger, see what happens."
Murray broke through this season with a US Open final and a pair of titles in the closing weeks. But the Scot is well aware that Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer still stand in the way of his world No. 1 dream.
"I don't see a whole lot of weaknesses," said Murray. "Federer is, I'm sure, going to want to try to get his No. 1 back, and I'm sure he's going to want to try and regain his Wimbledon trophy.
"Nadal, now that he's won Wimbledon, the French, I'm sure he's gonna give it his best effort to get ready for Australia and US Open are going to be huge for him.
"They're definitely going to be top five next year. Probably 1 and 2 again. They're playing that well and that consistently all the time."

Andy is a talented and hardworking tennis professional. He is one of the young tennis players that will add value to this beautiful sport. His future is bright! It is a matter of time before he wins his first GS. The ATP competition is no longer a two men competition and 2009 will be a competitive and interesting year for professional tennis.
