All four protagonists in Tuesday night's Showdown of Champions in Kuala Lumpur are expected to arrive on Monday, with James Blake and Roger Federer committed to public relations activities before the classic exhibition with John McEnroe and Björn Borg.
Federer was making a late fitness decision after back pains led to his group defeat at the Masters Cup, the first time in seven editions that the Swiss has not reached the semi-final of the year-end tournament.
The KL event will feature singles sets between Federer and Blake plus McEnroe and Borg, former rivals of three decades ago. The finale comprises a USA vs Europe doubles set, with Blake teaming with McEnroe and Federer playing alongside the legendary Borg.
In addition, Blake will conduct a player youth clinic while Federer has agreed to meet with a group of lucky fans for half an hour.

I managed to get some last minute tickets to the match. It was awesome! Although it was just an exhibition match and there were many goofy antics from the players (many classic McEnroe tantrum flare-ups), all sets were tie-breakers. Eventually, Federer won, McEnroe won and Team USA beat Team Europe.
Best thing is that it's becoming an annual event. Next year we'll be seeing Sharapova playing! Her opponent is still unknown though...
