Frustrated Paradorn Srichaphan has hinted that he could switch sporting careers due to a wrist injury which has kept him off the courts since the spring of 2007.
The former top Thai has suggested that he would be prepared to try his hand at the relatively dangerous sport of motorcycle racing, subject to the wishes of his sponsors.
The 29-year-old made a few ceremonial appearances at last week's Thailand Open, presenting the trophy to champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. But the competitive spirit on the former Asian No. 1 refuses to wither away despite his recent tennis inactivity.
Paradorn has revealed that boredom may drive him onto the race track, where he already took a minor spill during some practice laps earlier this year. He added that his local sponsors are also interested in seeing him try and make the switch to Thai racing.
