     - With his heart firmly anchored in American tennis, James Blake is concerned about the loss of home ATP events to nations around the world. The noted poker shark is particularly irked by the recent switch of the Las Vegas event to South Africa.

Blake won the inaugural 2006 edition of the Sin City tournament, which never enjoyed the best of success, competing in the same weekly slot as the lucrative Dubai event.

Thanks to deep pockets, the Gulf event was guaranteed the presence of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Las Vegas was still left with the not-insubstantial likes of Lleyton Hewitt and Marat Safin.

While a fat cheque was eventually able to draw Andy Roddick over for February's Dubai edition, which he won on his debut. Blake is sticking with the home side though. “I'm disappointed that Las Vegas went to South Africa. It's a shame to see events leave the US”.

Blake was won half of his ten career titles in North America and is still recovering from a disastrous Grand Slam spring where he lost in the second round at the French Open and Wimbledon.
