Rain has been destroying the schedule in Kitzbuhel all week, and on Friday, 3 2nd round matches still need to be completed as well as 4 quarterfinal matches.
Jan Hernych and Rainer Schuettler are on court at 1030 to try to finish their match which is in the early-mid stages of the third set at 3-2. Hernych blew away Rainer in the first before the German came back to win the second and the third can go either way.
Frenchman Nicolas Devilder should be able to close out Alexander Peya as Devilder leads by 6-4, 4-2. Right after the Hernych/Schuettler match, Sergio Roitman and Juan Martin Del Potro will do battle with Del Potro in control.
Jurgen Melzer awaits the winner of the Hernych/Schuettler match at around 1 PM Friday. Depending on how long the match goes, Melzer could be looking at a tired opponent on his match. Melzer was lucky to get through on Thursday.
After that match, barring any 3 set miracle comebacks or rain delays, Del Potro and Devilder will play for another semifinal spot. Juan Martin has been playing great tennis of late, winning his maiden title in Stuttgart last week and looking solid here. He should advance to another semi.

Did you know that... Roger Federer didn’t lose a single set during the Australian Open in 2005.
