  • Kitzbuhel rained out; forecast looks grim for the rest of the week

     - A complete washouts today in Kitzbuhel as not a single match was completed, and rain is forecasted every day for the remainder of the week.

Kitzbuhel is played at a very high altitude and this is the final year of this event. The temperatures are also quite cold and there is a possibility of snow during the week!

All 32 singles players will be in action Tuesday, should the rain stay away. Among them is Juan Martin Del Potro, winner of the Stuttgart event the previous week, and a fast-rising 19 year old. He plays Frenchman Josselin Ouanna.

Guillermo Coria is also in action as he continues to try to revive his career. He plays Austrian Alexander Peya on center court in the third match of the day.

Another fun player to watch is Eduardo Schwank, the Argentine who has had quite a good year thus far and made the semis the previous week in Stuttgart. He lost to Del Potro, but his year is still astounding. He is one of the favorites in this event and will play German Michael Berrer.

Both Schwank and Coria will be rooted against in their match, due to playing German and Austrian crowd favorites.
