    - Tennis intellectual Janko Tipsarevic has turned the page on his former voracious reading habits, hitting the court much more than he is hitting the bookstore during the Wimbledon Championships.

    “For the last few months I'm not reading as often as I used to”, said the serious Serb. “Some of the books that I was reading were kind of depressing”, added the player who has a quote from Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky's “The Idiot” tattooed on a a forearm.

    “It didn't really help my tennis too much”, said the number 40 still searching for his first career title. “I'm not saying that I'm a better tennis player because I stopped reading; it's just that I'm taking a break for a couple of months”.

    Tipsarevic, who habitually plays in wraparound sunglasses and took Roger Federer to 10-8 in the fifth set of their Australian Open third-round meeting, said that his heavy, thoughtful reading material was giving him a negative outlook

    “It was not a particular book. But I have a problem dividing the reading from the reality and the real world that we are living now, in the 21st century”, said the budding Renaissance man.
