Serbs Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic will face off in a countrywoman semi-final while second seeds Nenad Zinmonjic and Canadian Daniel Nestor have a doubles semi-fial to play on Thursday.
Zimonjic is alive in mixed with Slovenian Katarina Srebotnik in a show of Balkan solidarity while Dusan Vemic is involved in a men's semi in the top half of the draw.
“It's getting better and better”, third seed Djokovic said of Serbian success. “The country has only positive thoughts about tennis now, it's the number one sport”.
“I'm happy when I see the guys of my country, countryfellows, girls and men, doing so well. For such a small country, it's a big success”.
