Thai Paradorn Srichaphan didn't help his effort to return to tennis much when he was slightly hurt after crashing a powerful motorcycle on a track in the northeast of the country.
The former Asian ace, who last played a match in Miami 14 months ago, was luckily wearing full leathers when he went down.
The celebrity player, who married a former Miss World last autumn to national celebration in Thailand, is now ranked outside the top 500 with no reports on when he might be returning to the game at age 28.
Paradorn's problem has been a nagging wrist injury which allowed him to play only six matches in 2007 and eventually required an operation.
He had been expecting to return for what turned out to be a Davis Cup drubbing at the hands of Australia in April, but that date was scrapped. Paradorn owns five ATP titles, the last earned four years ago at Nottingham grass.
