Mardy Fish will once again play Andy Roddick. Can Fish avenge his previous week's 7-5 in the 3rd loss?
Probably not.
The thing with this matchup is that Fish has the ability to pull off the upset, but he really doesn't have the belief. Or, as some say, he doesn't have the cojones.
These two played last week in San Jose with Roddick winning a tigh match 7-5 in the 3rd. Fish didn't lose serve all match until the final game. Roddick went on to win the title. As for the rest of this rivalry, Roddick leads 6-1. Some wins being easy, some a little tougher. But whenever these two players get together, it is basically a pencil in for Roddick to the next round.
In his first round match against his slayer Gilles Muller, he served 17 aces, dominated his service games, didn't face a break point, and did what he needed to do to get the victory. Fish also won solidly.
Not to say that Mardy has no shot here, but Roddick should get through this match comfortably. Their history simply says that Fish has a bit of a mental block playing Roddick, and that shouldn't stop today.

Did you know that... Boris Becker never won an ATP-title on clay.
