6 of the remaining 8 players at the Delray ITC are Americans. What does that mean? Lots of familiarity.
Kei Nishikori vs Bobby Reynolds
Nishikori has been quietly matriculating his way through this draw and faces a winnable match against Bobby Reynolds. Last year they played in a Challenger which saw Reynolds winning in 3 sets, but Nishikori is much improved since then. The 18 year old qualifier will look to book a spot in the semis with a win, and this match can go either way. Nishikori might get a bit nervous at such a great shot in this event, but Reynolds certainly has more experience. Another 3 setter at this event is not crazy to think, and neither is Nishikori in the semis of an ATP event.
Vince Spadea vs. Sam Querrey
A fun one this should be. One of the kings of Delray, Spadea will clash with big server Sam Querrey for a spot in the semis. They have played twice before, both in 2006, and they split those meetings, 1-1. Spadea will look to throw Querrey off-balance with his play and unusual court-wear. Querrey will try to dominate with the serve and get Spadea out of rhythm with short points. Spadea should have the advantage with his experience and great history at this event. One this is more sure, the crowd will surely get their money's worth, something you can always count on in a Spadea match.
Robby Ginepri vs. Mardy Fish
Ginepri and Fish are both on the perpetual comeback tour, as both have had a variety of injuries and various other ailments that have sidelined them for some period of time. Here in Delray, however, both have looked good thus far. Ginepri brings in a 4-1 lifetime record against Fish, but don't think that Fish has no chance. Both players will give their all and leave it out on the court in a grind out match. I will take Ginepri in 3.
James Blake vs. Igor Kunitsyn
James Blake has absolutely no reason to lose this match. They've met once before, last year in San Jose, and Blake crushed him. Expect a similar drubbing here. Blake has looked great all week and I believe that trend will continue. What is uncertain is whether or not Blake can avoid the peaks and valleys he usually has in his game. That being said, I have to take Blake in 2, as Kunitsyn has no weapons to hurt Blake with.

Did you know that... Sweden won all grand Slam titles in 1988. Stefan Edberg became the Wimbledon champion and Mats Wilander was victorious in the other three.
