A cracker this should be, no question why it's the night match.
Baghdatis, the 2006 finalist, is coming off of a fantastic 5 set victory over 2005 champion and part-time genius, part-time tortured mad scientist, Marat Safin. That match was great, and this one should be as well. Hewitt is the final Aussie left in the tournament, and once again, Australia's only hope.
Off the court, the two have had a bit of tough press recently. Hewitt was reported to be working his tail off over December getting fit and better for the tournament, and just a few weeks ago in Adelaide told fellow pros: “Shape up or get a new job,” when the Aussie summer heat was an issue. He promptly lost to Tsonga in Adelaide, then to Guccione in Sydney, with Melbourne being his last chance to redeem himself.
Baghdatis, on the other hand, has had a video of himself on youtube appearing to be supporting Greeks chanting anti-Turkish chants. He defended himself, however, saying that that was indeed NOT the case as it appeared.
As for the match on the court, expect a raucous crowd and a highly entertaining match. Both men will look to wrestle control of the point from the other which will result in great tennis. I have no prediction, as I have no clue who will win. This is a match to simply enjoy, and not have money riding on it.

Did you know that... Juan Martin Del Potro had Pete Sampras as his childhood idol.
