Roddick, Isner reach semifinal

Top seed Andy Roddick is through to the final four in Winston-Salem, after ousting Juan Monaco in straight sets. Joining the veteran is fellow American John Isner, who rallied to defeat Marcos Baghdatis.

World No. 21 Andy Roddick advanced to the semifinal by virtue of his routine victory over opponent Juan Monaco. The 28-year-old started the match quickly, having built a 5-0 edge in the opening set. Roddick completed the 67-minute effort with 9 aces and nine service games held without facing a break point.
He is slated to face compatriot Isner for a place in the championship final.

Fourth seed John Isner survived a challenging quarterfinal, where he rallied to defeat 8th seed Marcos Baghdatis. After splitting the first two sets, the American took a critical service break at 4-4 in the deciding set. The 26-year-old ended the match with 12 aces struck through one hour and 51 minutes of play.
