World No. 5 David Ferrer made the quarterfinals at the Championships following his straight-set victory over Juan Martin Del Potro. Up next for the veteran is world No. 4 Andy Murray, who defeated 16th seed Marin Cilic.

Seventh seed David Ferrer is through to the final eight, having upended Argentina’s Juan Martin Del Potro in straight sets. The 30-year-old saved four of 4 break points en route to a 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 win in 118 minutes.

"Today was one of my best matches (on a grass) court," said Ferrer. "But I'm not sure if is my best or not. At Wimbledon, there is a lot of wind. On (an) indoor court, (under a) roof, it is easier for to play. The ball does not move and this is more comfortable for us."

Ferrer ended the day with 34 winners and five of eight break points converted.

He will face World No. 4 Andy Murray in the quarterfinals. The Scot defeated 16th seed Marin Cilic in the round of 16, 7-5, 6-2, 6-3.
