Troicki falls to Harrison, Tursunov advances

Qualifier Ryan Harrison is through to the second round in Shanghai after upsetting 11th seed Viktor Troicki in straight sets. The American is joined in round two by Dmitry Tursunov, who ousted Thomaz Bellucci.

Qualifier Ryan Harrison continued his debut run in Shanghai, having ousted 11th seed Viktor Troicki on Tuesday. The 19-year-old American converted five of nine break points, through to a 6-3, 6-3 victory in 82 minutes of play. Troicki struggled with his second serve, with just eight of 25 points won.
Harrison will take on qualifier Matthew Ebden for a place in the quarterfinals. Edben took out Pablo Andujar in the opening round, 6-4, 6-4.
Dmitry Tursunov def. Thomaz Bellucci 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5
Dmitry Tursunov reached the second round following his three-set win over Thomaz Bellucci early Tuesday. The veteran rallied to secure the match in two hours and 46 minutes, 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5. Tursunov completed the effort with 10 aces and five of 11 break points converted.
He is slated to face defending champion Andy Murray in the round of 16.
