World No. 9 Mardy Fish is through to the quarterfinal, following his straight-set victory over Gilles Muller late Thursday. Fellow seed Thomaz Bellucci also advanced, after crushing Alejandro Falla in under an hour.

Top seed Mardy Fish continued his hard-court run with a straight-set success against Gilles Muller Thursday night. After taking the opening-set tie-break, the American broke to 3-1 and 5-1 in the second set. Fish completed the evening with six aces and three of 4 break points converted through an hour and 19 minutes.
He is slated to face 8th seed Igor Kunitsyn for a place in the semifinal. The Russian defeated Ryan Sweeting in the round of 16, 7-6(4), 7-6(6).
(4) Thomaz Bellucci def. Alejandro Falla 6-0, 6-1
Fourth seed Thomaz Bellucci made quick work of Alejandro Falla to reach the quarterfinal, having downed his opponent in just 53 minutes. The 23-year-old Brazilian secured six of 16 break points, en route to a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Falla finished the match with a mere 15% of his second-service points won.
Bellucci will take on Alex Bogomolov in the next round. The American ousted 7th seed Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16, 6-4, 6-3.
