Fourth seed Mikhail Youzhny survived a challenging quarterfinal, having downed 12th seed Marin Cilic in three sets. The Russian is joined in the semifinal by fellow seed Gilles Simon, who downed top seed Gael Monfils.

Fourth seed Mikhail Youzhny is through to the final four, having rallied to oust 12th seed Marin Cilic Friday afternoon. The Russian trailed 4-6 in the final-set tie-break, but came back to win three consecutive points. He completed his effort with three of 9 break points converted through three hours of play.
Youzhny is next to face 5th seed Gilles Simon for a spot in the final.

Fifth seed Gilles Simon advanced to the semifinal by virtue of his three-set success against compatriot Gael Monfils. After dropping the second set, the 26-year-old secured a trio of service breaks in the deciding set. Simon ended the two-hour, 5-minute match with five of 7 break point chances converted.
