  • Roddick captures Eastbourne title

    6/24/12 4:54 AM | Cheryl Murray
Andy Roddick ended his title drought at the AEGON International on Saturday with a win over Andreas Seppi.

American veteran Andy Roddick has won his first title since Memphis in 2011 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Italy's Andreas Seppi.

Roddick, who is usually at home on the grass courts in Wimbledon lead-up, was ousted in his first match at the event at Queen's Club. But he righted the ship in a big way is week.

The American served up just 5 aces, a relatively low number on these quicker courts and he was broken 2 times in the straight set match. Still, Seppi had all manner of difficulty holding onto his own serve. The Italian gave up 5 service breaks to give Roddick the victory.

Both men will head to the All-England Club, where Wimbledon will start on Monday.
