  • Roddick, Seppi make their way to Eastbourne final

    6/23/12 4:28 AM | Cheryl Murray
American veteran Andy Roddick and Italian Andreas Seppi advance through quarterfinals and semifinals in one day to force a showdown in the finals.

American Andy Roddick seems to have finally found his grass court form, after a dismal start to the season at Queen's Club. The American defeated both Fabio Fognini and Steve Darcis on Friday to earn a spot in the final.

The quarterfinals were slated to be played on Thursday, but the day ended in a wash for the men's draw, with all matches re-scheduled for Friday.

The American dropped a set to the Italian clay-courter Fognini before decimating Steve Darcis of Belgium later in the day.

Roddick will face down Andreas Seppi, who also put in double duty on Friday. Seppi, who has had a spectacular spring, upended both No. 7 seed Philipp Kohlschreiber and Ryan Harrison to meet Roddick in the finals.

Roddick and Seppi will be second up on Centre Court on Saturday after the ladies final.
