Israel's Dudi Sela made it to his first ATP level final by winning yet another routine straight-set match, this time over Rainer Schuettler.
Sela has been on fire all week, beating seeds in every round. And this match was no different. Sela's backhand is one of the nicest around and this is his showcase tournament for it. His confidence is sky-high and he has been going for insane shots all week and making them.
In this one, Sela started off slow, getting broken in the first set and serving really badly. He was able to break the Schuettler serve back though, and after that it was all Sela. He hit some ridiculous winners all match long, leaving Schuettler dazed and confused more than once.
In the second, Sela was perfect. He lost just six points on serve in the entire second set and had his opponent on the ropes every one of his service games. Sela broke just once in this set to take it 6-3.
Sela will contest his very first ATP final on Sunday against Andy Roddick. It will be the pair's first meeting.
