Berdych, Chardy move on in Paris
11/9/11 3:21 AM | Cheryl Murray
Tomas Berdych dispatched Fernando Verdasco in straight sets, while Frenchman Jeremy Chardy upset Valencia winner Marcel Granollers.
For a set and a half, Tomas Berdych ran rough-shod over Spain’s Fernando Verdasco. Berdych surrendered a service break in the first set, but there was never a moment when the Czech was in danger of losing the frame.
Berdych was up 5-2 and served for the match, only to get broken. The Czech had another chance to serve the match out at 5-4 and failed to do so again. But just when it appeared that Verdasco was going to make his way at least to a tiebreaker, the Spaniard was broken again.
Berdych was finally able to successfully serve for the win at 6-5. The Czech awaits the winner of Alex Bogomolov, Jr. and Janko Tipsarevic.
Jeremy Chardy and Marcel Granollers were still contesting their first round match. Granollers, who was the surprise winner in Valencia a few days ago, withdrew after losing the first set.

HI TO ALL NEAR OR FAR. I chose to have a change in operation and return for a test, by the Open in Australia this year. I became quite the controversial figure in past twelve months working on various websites, to help bring out a form of resurrection whereby particular issues had to be resolved. I was lucky to catch the rivalry between Tomas and Fernando at the Paribas last night, as expressed the final 1000 1000 ATP tour of this year also. Fer enjoyed to produce his combination of skills, and accounted for a chance towards the amazing standards attached to players like Tomas Berdych. Fernando increased in confidence and got as far to earn five breaks in second set, (un)fortunately Fernando Verdasco has not been heard to win any tours since Barcelona 2010. Berdych has won few this year. The transparent improvements in Tenis enabled us to view the final events for Valencia 2011, over Juan Monaco & David Ferrer; unpredictably had won by Juan. The final was generally a prediction of independence and strength, that Marcello Granollers won the cup. An extra variation was the Basel final in Switzerland, won by Roger Federer above Kei Nishikori. We wish tennis players a terrific tour in their quantities as qualities!
