World No. 4 Andy Murray advanced to the final four at the Australian Open, having ousted 24th seed Kei Nishikori in straight sets. The two-time finalist moves on to face either Novak Djokovic or David Ferrer in the next round.

Fourth seed Andy Murray is through to his third consecutive semifinal at the Australian Open following his 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 victory over Kei Nishikori. The 24-year-old took a 3-0 advantage in the opening set, then followed with a break at 1-1 in set two.

Murray continued the momentum to build a 5-1 edge in the third set. After missing his first match point, the Scot closed as Nishikori missed a service return.

Murray completed the quarterfinal with 36 winners and seven of 18 break points converted.

He will take on either defending champion Novak Djokovic or 5th seed David Ferrer for a place in the championship final.
