Wait just a minute...Roddick out in the 1st Round, Youzhny in the semis, considering Andy just demolished Youzhny in his first clay court match of the season? I would not doubt Andy so much, I'm not saying he's making it to the QFs or anything, but not 1st round...he did beat Robredo last year at RG after all.

i disagree with a lot of the picks, but that is natural..
its nice to see that you have predicted devvarman to reach 3rd round and i hope that is true..
maybe almagro and nole won't go the distance..
and surely, giraldo will do better than straight set defeat at hands of nole..
well, my wishlist sf is this-
gulbis x robredo
nadal x ferrero

but what will happen is most probably as you predicted, maybe robredo or tsonga in place of youzhny..

some how I have a crazy feeling that Federer's semifinal streak will stop here... by whom and in how many sets....let's wait and see

Rest assured this will not happen. Infact this will be Fed's 9 straight GS final.

I appreciate the hard work of coming up with predictions for every round of the tournament. Well done!

I think Roddick will go further in the tournament. I also am not sure that Murray will go as far as the fourth round. I also don't think Yhouzny will get that far. I am of the same mind as clayking, with tsonga or maybe Robredo getting through.

As far as Fed, I won't be the one to pick the end of his semifinal streak at this tournament. Until it happens, I will always go with Fed to at least get to the semis.

I have questions in my mind about Djoker. Hopefully, I will get a chance to see first match and get a sense as to where he's at.

Overall, the only major exception I have is with Youzhny playing Fed in the semis. It's a reasonable pick. Who knows which player will get through Murray's part of the draw. There are a few who could get there. The real surprise would be if somehow Murray regroups and gets through. That would count as a shocker to me.

You have too much time on your hands. As for the picks :
1. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Mandy out in the first round, that's not me being mean, just realistic. I'll say he loses it in 5 sets.
2. I think you've purposely given the Americans lowered expectations. The top 3 should all make third round.
3. I have a sneaky feeling the Djoker will be rested enough to make a SF run and go down to Nadal in 5 sets.
4. I'm not even going to guess Fed's SF opponent (too hard) but I'll say he beat's Nadal in the final in 5 sets. (I could be a little biased on that last part)

i have pickd ferrer but i also think djo will make it to the semis but lose in 3 to nadal.

and chr18, u just dont wana predict a rafa win :P u are too biased here but that is okay, u love ur champion so justified but i think predictions shud be free of bias (if that is possiblbe)

For a couple of months now I've been wondering whether this would be the year Roger does not make it to the RG final (since '05) and I would have given that a 50% chance. After Madrid I think Roger has an 80% chance to make it to the final. If he does ... I think it will be Rafa in 3 sets, with two fairly tight ones. RG is just a whole other surface than Madrid.

beating federer over 5 sets is extremely difficult if ur not nadal.

Federer to win! Why not? He is coming into a slam, different mind set, different approach.

Roger Federer is amazing!

His statistics in terms of performing in a slam are the best ever. Federer is the best ever and would be fantastic if he could defend his title at RG. I expect it to be tough, because everyone guns for Federer, but I know he will provide us with some great tennis and I look forward to that!

If Federer were to win here, he will be in line for calender Grand Slam. He is a proven force at Wimbledon and U.S. But no body has won that since the Great Laver, and no body will. Federer fans will have to be content with Federer in four finals, at best.

Rafa have proved that he is back on track now... 3 consecutive masters in a row... and beating federer in the final in Madrid was really really fantastic.... Rafa is simply the best.... VAMOS!!!!

federer will make it to the finals this time. monfils,wawrinka,montanes and cilic have no chance against federer in a best of 5 set match. As for soderling,last year he was in white-hot form at this tourney,but still got straight setted by Fed. He has no chance now. Gulbis is the lone thorn in Feds section-a danger that wont cause the top seed the same amount of trouble in the best of 5 set format. As for the semis,the second quarter is nothing short of a joke. The funny thing is,if this was a hard court event,that draw would be loaded and BRUTAl. But it isnt,and is totally wide open. Its tough to pick,however, there's something about a good draw and the Parisian air that should elevate Tsonga to his deepest showing in Paris. Fed should criuse past him,becoming the first person to make to 5 consecutive RG finals-and then lose to nadal in the final. However,if soderling was able to play the match of his life and beat nadal,theres no reason why Federer cant :P

watching the soderling match....the court is as fast...or even faster than rome..i dunno y??

if the court is playing this fast for the rest of the tourney,then Federer has a better chance of winning the French than most of us think.
